This was done for vdrums.com, theres a very expensive piece of percussion equipment called a Zendrum (check youtube... its awesome) and this is a rather inexpensive method that someone thought of. He did one pad as proof of concept but wanted to see if anyone could expand upon it. Since I'm out of room for the drumset, I gave it a shot.
