Default FTR Poster You are most thankful for

Mine is kinda unexpected, but I'm gonna go with Ahiltz!

Ahiltz was there for me two times when I really was stuck. He once helped me with a kind of sizable money xfer when it was urgent and he told me what RAM i needed and recommended a set as well as a few other questions about a computer I am building.

    JGB146 and Spenda

Both have done more for me up to this point than anyone in my family or friends circle since my layoff, and I'm glad you made this thread so they can get props.

Many have helped me a whoooole lot. Pokerfanatic introduced me to this website and has been my first real "poker" friend which was about 3 years ago and then alexos helped me with a bunch of stuff not including poker strategy that means a great deal. Then I have those who help me with strategy...ahhhh. If I name names I will forget someone so thank you all.

Edit: Ok, I broke the rules, but no way can I pick just one.

serious answer: probably dwarfman for the SnG videos back in the day, without them I would've probably gone busto and never come back.

Lots of FTR'ers have helped my poker game, but ensign_lee is the only one who told me about an almost risk-free $1000 Steelers bet on Mansion.

    ensign_lee (and Joey Porter) FTW!

ISF's posts are helping me more than ever now, but the person that helped my game most when i was learning cash games was Renton. Mostly do to his strat guide.

Whoever told me to stop playing cash games and focus on tournies (which was basically everyone but I think it was Warpe who really forced it home).

I am incredibly thankful for this year pokerwise and I will always feel somewhat indebted to FTR for helping me get to where I am now.

Ilikeaces86 was my idol . Soupie, scgolfer and digital doc hugely influenced my ideas on poker psychology and discipline when i used to hang out in vent.

seriosly though FTR in general. I was down approx $1,500 before stumbling across FTR. I'm now back in the black with a bankroll of £1,200ish (inlc getting drunk and losing the lot and starting again.).

Anosmic - my best buddy from poker and I'm sure the poker analysis we've done together over AIM has been the most profound study I've done of my game.

Please stop calling me that. Seriously. It's flattering and all that you do, but it makes me feel like such a douche.

Also put up another vote for Fnord.

i think ilikeaces was the player who really catalyzed my interest in cash game poker. I saw his infamous stat post where he was running like 20ptbb/100 for 50k hands or something of 25-100nl fr 50bb games on party, and was like "yeah, this is where its at."

As far as poker, you can't go wrong saying ISF at the moment. In the past it was pokerfanatic/jeff/euph(sigh) when I was a pooflinger.

For me it's lots of people (I don't give a shit about the one poster rule), and I'm sure I'll miss quite a few of them.

ilikeaces86 was probably the first one to have a huge impact on me, as he taught me how to make money and even gave me my original stake. I turned that into some nice things, a house down-payment, and I still have a decent BR leftover online even though I don't play a whole lot anymore...

gabe, ISF, sauce123, lukie, boost, fnord, dnuts, massimo, smackinyaup, JGB, soupie, renton, rippy, and countless others have had a pretty big impact on my game and me as well.

for comedy value it's bigred and rilla of course.
