There is some way you can set through yahoo where it drafts the players you want if they are already not taken.

    It is a good feature.

i took a look at that, and it seemed to me that i would still need to be here (at my comp) to get into the live draft in the first place. is that wrong? i was kinda confused by it.

Please let us know if it would be helpful for us to add a hockey section similar to the http://nfl-sports-betting.flopturnriver.com/ section.

It would have dynamic, up to date lines, futures, team info, player info etc.

    Muxy,

I started putting up the http://hockey-sports-betting.flopturnriver.com/ page. Do you think you can please write an introduction about hockey similar to the one on our nfl page?

Once we have an intro and some more content then we can push it live by adding it to the right nav of our http://online-gambling.flopturnriver.com/ page.

Do you think we should add team summaries the way we have them for each nfl team?

The regular season starts on October 5th. We want to launch the hockey section before that date but we could use some help writing the introduction. If any of you big hockey fans out there want to help us out then please let me know.

    Thanks.

Hm... when I signed up it showed the draft day as Sunday.... Of course, that could be because my time zone thing is all messed up on Yahoo. I'll check it out.

How does the head-to-head format work?

You play someone heads up that week and try to get more poitns then them base on what points are scored on, who scores the most goals gets the most points, goalie who gets the most wins.

And it is one division, And it goes by wins and losses.
  29. #29
Do you have to have a new draft every week, or do you keep the same players week in and week out?

I suppose I could probably find this out from the site eh?

What if you have an odd number of participants? (which you will if I join)

    We have some updates.

    1. Court put together a great hockey intro on the http://hockey-sports-betting.flopturnriver.com/ page, be sure to check it out.
    2. We've expanded the http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=52 forum definition to include hockey. Moving forward we encourage you to post about hockey in this spot rather than FTR Community.
    3. FTR will donate $30 for the fantasy hockey prize pool.

Good luck to everyone who joins the ftr hockey fantasy league!

no no it's all good, i'm pretty sure the teams just take turns getting a bye each game. don't go, we want you in! the more the merrier! i'm super glad you joined us.

to anyone else interested, it's not too late to join! sign up, the draft is tonight! it'll be way more fun with more teams, and you'll have chance for a $30 prize! AND fame and glory (which is clearly more important than money).

went to an exhibition game tonight, canucks vs flames. it was SO nice being in the rink again and seeing hockey again, i can't begin to tell you. the arena was packed too, was awesome seeing so many people at a preseason game. i'm so excited about the upcoming season!! 5 more days and the real show starts, i so can't wait!

Since the regular season started I put the rest of the hockey section up. It is pretty cool now, you can get to it by going to http://online-gambling.flopturnriver.com/ on our left nav and then finding the hockey link on the right.

Let us know if we can change anything in that section to help you with the fantasy league. In other words, I use our football section to research players for our ffl league. I'm hoping you'll be able to use our hockey section for the same sort of thing.

How is the hockey league going? We were hoping there would be more talk about it here in the forum. Please don't be shy about discussing the league and hockey in general.

lol ... the first couple games of the season i was in second place and it's been dowwwwwnhill since then. i've dropped to fourth with three of my best players injured (nash, gaborik, and smyth), and my goalies are terrible. hahahaha ... this is why i haven't been posting about it ...

i have hope though! when my players come back, my team will start to kick some ass. i wish we had more than one IR spot ...

muxy's been first since the season started. he has like, half the vancouver canucks on his team, and naslund's been been awesome so far this season. everytime naslund scores i don't know whether to be happy or upset because on one hand it means vancouver got a goal (and i'm a vancouver fan), but on the other it means muxy got ANOTHER freaking point ...

i don't even know who else has a team here? my friend's team is second right now, and rilla's team sucks even more than mine does ... who's freeekshows? his/her team is third.

time for one of the other elusive managers to post!

btw, the hockey stuff looks awesome! thanks for putting it all up! i'm sure we'll be using it as the season goes on and as we start to get to know how things are going with the new rules and cba.
