FTR Upgrading Forum to vBulletin

Can't get the first post up top, all the options still won't change like the forum won't let me change the defaults. Firefox for now.

Fuck I hate last post first, reading upwards sucks then having to scroll to the bottom to post.

Ok after posting once they all turned on, interesting, I think it's just a refreshing problem

Spacing is still weird gmml, all the one line posts are at the bottom by the sig's

The all the pic links come back after I refresh the lol pics thread. It seems to just be a refreshing problem for most of the sites issues gmml.

But lets not forget the good, it's fast! Which is far more important than looks.

Yea I am sure the aesthetic part will be taken care of for sure, little adds and shit will surely be done once X and gmml get the problems fixed.

Admins, For now I am still having to refresh a ton to see new posts and I get that reload loop a ton opening threads to new tabs and need to refresh the page to get it to stop, I am clicking on the newest post option from "view posts since last visit" in FF still for now

Ironically, in 2006 I specifically joined FTP because it was PhpBB and I HATED 2+2's forum which may or may not have been vBulletin @ the time. I still like PhpBB better but I can get used to this, too.

i love how fast this is but there are a few niggles. I don't really like how the size of the avatar changes the margin. I don't know how to explain this better, but for example bode's posts begin a lot further to the left than xtr's and hawkfan's. I just think it looks really untidy...

Also, when opening a thread for some reason it was using the cached version in my browser instead of reloading the page and therefore loading the new posts. I have to press refresh to update the page. This hasn't happened for a while though so I don't know if you've done something to fix this already?

There has to be some kind of post orientation settings for this message board.

Please look for "Vertical orientation." It is probably on "centered." Change it to "top." EZGAME

Does the view new posts work for anyone? Everytime I choose that button I get taken to the first area in the thread where I ended up the first time I hit view new posts for that particular thread. And everything shows up as new now.

I had an issue with view posts since last visit till I refreshed it. I had to change my shortcut too since I have that saved in my browser bar.

yeah, I typically go from the "View posts since last visit" results to a thread I want to read then hit the back button to go back the results, but the thread I've just visited doesn't unbold. minor issue though. I'm totally loving the speed.

yea I go down the list and open alll the thraeads I want to read in new tabs, then I have to hit the button to bring up the list again and hit F5 to get the bolded type out of the way. GMML is still working on the main forum pages refreshing far as I know

Starting to look more like home with the FTR spade icons added.

Threads should also refresh correctly now as well, need to clear cache. If anyone is still having an issue with that, let me know.

I'm surprised the move wasn't sooner. vBulletin seems to be pretty standard. I would guess there will be a gradual increase in traffic around here too. The lag was just awful

Loving the new forum speed, except for the look (for now obv since the admins said they are working on it). One thing, the avatars aren't working for me, anyone else? Also, how do I get it to send me an email when someone makes a post? I have my email info down in my profile, but I don't see anything in there that'll do it.

Seems to be a lot of problems with " quotes" in text where it looks like things are copied and pasted or are converted from another format. In quick reply they seem fine.

A couple of people including me had to go into the profile to enable pictures in posts. I don't know if it was leaved unchecked by default on purpose or not. I think it should be checked by default.

And links should be blue and underlined. At least one or the other.

It shows me as logged out (regardless of how many times I log in) when viewing the entire message board. However, when I click on a individual forum (commune ldo) it shows me as logged in and displays unread threads,
