I don't really know about the supplement stuff, but as for your program, go to crossfit.com and follow the workouts of the day. Just do it. I'm 39 and I'm stronger than ever and I've only been Crossfitting for about 4-5 months. I don't even use supplements, just eat whatever my wife puts in front of me then ask for more. You should probably do the same, it's a lot cheaper.
