y/0 is undefined for all y.
(Except sometimes using L'Hopital's rule)

There are some uses of infinity as a number, e.g. in infinite sums, and some other cases, but those are usually additionally defined or constrained infinities which a textbook glazes over in one passing phrase. Usually, that phrase involves the word convergence.
