ya, the gh3 ones seem to be super tough. I just spent like 6 hrs straight playing it and I'm hooked.

should I get GH2 or can I get a lot of the songs from downloadable content? I also have rock band and havn't touched it yet.

You can't get any GH2 songs on GH3 DLC. Definitely pick up a copy of GH2 (which is actually harder than GH3 b/c of the smaller timing window and harder hammer ons and pull offs).

another thing about DLC. Can you actually play them? stupid question i know because the answer almost has to be yes, but I downloaded the foo fighters pack the other night, and it was just a video of some guy playing the pretender on expert (and hitting every single freaking note).

Finished easy level first night. Quick question, anyone have a Wii that plays this? There is no GH2 or GH1 so is there an option for more songs or a way to play GH1 or 2? Not that I plan to finish this soon, but what if I get addicted and need more?

You can buy songs via the online marketplace for the xbox 360. I'm not sure about the wii.

With the playstation 2 (which you can grab off craigslist for $50 or so) you can download several thousand songs made by other fans of the game.

I have both and pretty much the only time I play Rock Band anymore is when I have people over. Occasionally I'll play the drums which are very fun but not that often. The guitar parts in Rock Band are boring and are super easy.

This is true. RB is generally easier than GH. For those of us that haven't reached Expert level, we simply play at a higher level than we do in GH. The drums are hella fun, though!

Yeah, don't get me wrong, Rock Band is a great game but it's geared more for the casual gamer. Guitar Hero is aimed at those people (like me) who's idea of fun in these type of games is playing some insanely hard shit on expert guitar and getting really good at it. Rock Band is for those people who just want to rock out with their friends.

WTF happened to gradually getting tougher? Each jump is Nuts. Faster and add a button. Went back to play some of the songs on medium today after finally finishing a few songs on hard , wow, what was so hard about the first four songs on medium? By the time you finish Nights of Cydonia, Raining Blood and One, pretty much your ready for the jump except that damn new key.

And that last boss battle on medium was sick, I don't know if I can get it on hard. May take a while. Any tips for getting through the hard stage? Do I need to start practicing. Up until now, I have only practiced a bit for the first song to get used to the new key, both times.

A) youre probably holding the guitar wrong, seems like 80% of the people i see play do
B) concentrate on learning to pick in and up and down fashion rather than straight down like 80% of the people i see play do. Play the entire game on easy with alternating the picking on each note

I choose Christians. It's difficult to ever be anti any life choice, but I'm becoming more and more anti-Christian as I learn how great the damage they do is. Of course, all superstitious and pseudoscience thinking is espoused by the majority of non-religious entities, yet none are as powerful as Christians. At least it's dying out, as is all religion. Humans as a whole will never be able to think logically enough for religious stuff to be completely disregarded, though. Artificial Intelligence created by humans that will eventually eliminate humans from existence, however, will.

I suck at the realtars, but I was pretty decent at GH3. The expert songs were mostly fucktarded though, stupid fake chords and shit pwned me always.
