Nah, protestant ftmp. English, German, Dutch, etc. Hell, at certain points in our history, if an official language had been declared, it almost certainly would have been German. Into the 60's there were still sizable ethnically German communities where the defacto langauge spoke was German.

The Irish and the Italians and Jews, in any notable numbers, came much later.
