    A freeroll is where you spend hours looking into poker site lobbies and on forums like this one to find free tournemtnts with cash prizes. Almost 99% have a first prize that is equal to an hours wage at Mcdonalds. So basically it's about 10 hours for $0.30 cents if you manage to make it into the money against about 5K really bad poker players.
