Hi all
Hi folks new player to these forums.
I have played poker since I was a teenager, (long time)
usually with friends or such, so amateur.
Couple of years ago I tried one of the poker sites free rooms just to see what it was like, but that wasn't poker. With hundreds of people all betting on anything and everything just wasn't interesting for me.
Decided to try real money now that I have a job where I have a bit of money left over at the end of the month, instead of the other way around.
Wanted to thank all the old pros here for posting such useful advice, reviews, and such.
Just one point for Soupie. I disagree with this statement: "As I have said before and I will say again, the most fun you will ever have playing poker is cashing out." For me at least there are other ways of making money with the same or less risk, that require less of my time. The reason to play poker is the same as any other competition, to beat your opponents! Sure the money is nice, and without it you would have a lot less opponents, but the reason to be a professional poker player is to be able to say "I am good, if you want to find out how good just come into the ring with me".
