    Default Hi everyone!

I'm new to FTR, I've been reading some of the tournament strategies lately as I've been playing a lot of play money SnGs on Pokerstars (usually 2+ tables) and the Hubble's NLHE Freerolls when I have the time (which has only happened twice). I feel like I'm improving doing this, I'm getting a $200 deposit as a Christmas present so my goal is to be able to do well in tournaments by then so I can start doing the $5+1 SnGs.

I'm just really getting into poker online, as I've played house games with my dad and his friends for years, but they were never very good so... I decided to try out PokerStars after I watched one of the earlier episodes of 2003 WSOP and watching the first season of Celebrity Poker Showdown. I get really enthralled in all the poker shows on TV right now, and most of my friends (especially my g/f) have no clue why. It's similar with billiards.

I almost always get ITM at the SnGs I play with play money, which seems decent to me since usually there's at least a final table's worth of players who are actually trying to win. Both of the Freerolls I've played in I've placed at least in in the top 10% of the field, the first time getting 433rd out of over 5000, and the 2nd time getting 196th out of a slightly smaller group.

Anyways, just kinda wanted to introduce myself and hopefully I'll get to play with some of you guys! I also play Warcraft III if any of you guys wanna play that give me a PM!

PLay money in no way compares to real money SnGs.

But good luck and you can find out everything you need to know about BR managment and the newbie cirlce of death in the begginer forum. And hten read the stickies for SnGs and then go have fun.

I personally don't think that you should be playing 2 table SnG's until you understand and do well at 1 table SnG's. Don't play $5+1's unless you have to. Pick a site that the rake is only $0.50 instead of $1. Doesn't seem like much of a diff, but it adds up over time.

Please do not take anything you see on celebrity poker as useful information for your poker game.

I think that me meant 5 + .50 because that is what it is on pokerstars where he says he plays.
