Default How do I Refer my PartyPoker friend to EMPIRE?

I read here about joining both Empire AND Party Poker. I have just joined Empire to get things started.

My question: Can I get the referral bonus for referring my friend to Empire if he already plays at Party Poker? I told him about what I read here and he wants to get an Empire account too.

I signed up at Empire because I figured he could come over and set up his new account on my computer. Then I could go to his house and set up my PartyPoker account on his computer. I think all this is no problem. I'm simply wondering if there's a way we can both make an extra bonus for referring each other.

PS. I have a third computer available if it's necessary. I'd like to know if anyone else was able to work this angle.

Puke - I mean Duke, you really need a life.

Along the Party lines, I will be establishing a Party account - if anyone from the Forum can get a referral bonus PM me and I will let the site know you sent me along.
If you put all your faith in the river, you are up shit's creek

EasyT, did you use me as a referral?

And yes you can get the referral bonus for referring your friend to Empire even though he plays at Party now. Just make sure you and your friend have 2 email addresses each so you can use one for Party and one to Empire. PM me if u have ne questions.

Triptain-- Yes, I did use you for a referral. I have money on my Neteller account and plan to buy in tonight.

My largest disappointment is that Empire doesn't have NL tables under $25. I'm used to playing $10 at Paradise. My bankroll is gonna be a little shy for a $25 table.

My other disappointment is that my verson of PokerStat doesn't jive with Empire. I downloaded another similar program to cover this.

But back to my question: Even if my friend establishes a second email with his provider, he still will need to sign up on another computer, right. So how do I send him the referral email and have him receive the email / sign up on a different computer? When I used your referral email, it specifically said I need to sign up with the same email and from the same computer where your referral was sent.

    Am I missing something?

    FLOPTURNRIVER:
"If you already have an account with PartyPoker then you'll have to jump through some extra hoops to establish your EmpirePoker account, but it can be done quite easily. First of all, you will NOT be able to set up your LOGIN NAME and PASSWORD at EmpirePoker from the computer where you've been playing PartyPoker (unless you haven't played in over 30 days). EmpirePoker and PartyPoker track new accounts by IP address, so if you've been actively playing at PartyPoker from a specific IP address within the last 30 days, EmpirePoker will not allow you to establish your LOGIN NAME and PASSWORD from that IP.

However, you can establish your LOGIN NAME and PASSWORD from any other IP address and then be able to login and play from your regular home computer! The only security restriction in place is the initial creation of the LOGIN NAME and PASSWORD, but once that is completed, you can download, install, login, and play at EmpirePoker and PartyPoker on the same computer or IP address!

So, this is what you have to do. Download the software, install, and establish your LOGIN NAME and PASSWORD on a DIFFERENT computer - your work computer, friend's computer, relative's computer, internet cafe, whatever you need to do. "

Do this and you can use the same computer:

1)Click on start, then Run. In that window that pops up, type in REGEDIT and click ok.

2)In the Registry Editor window, on the lefthand side, go to these folders :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    SOFTWARE
    CALCULATOR
    MODE

In that MODE folder, on the righthand side, there will be a field called UCID. Right-click on UCID and delete.

    3)Restart computer

4)Sign Up for PP or Emp Pkr

    Thanks To AllinLife and 2+2
