if you are to stop when you reach a grand - when do you reach a grand?
He tricked me by saying that 4110 was incorrect, I looked for another trick on words and saw "a grand total" then I thought the problem should have gone 1000+10+1000+20 and he just did the order wrong.
He later edited his statement saying 4110 was the correct answer.
