I predict Durrr will have to carry his balls out in a wheel barrow when this table runs down.

this set of players is over, it's a shame really, a ton of action. Epic ownage tonight when Durrrr refuses to take $200k+ out of the pot after Barry turns down running it twice (when, in all actuality, I believe it's Dwan's decision b/c he had the "drawing" hand).

I don't think he cared whether or not they'd run it twice. The only reason I can come up with why he wouldn't take anything back is that he wants to discourage people from playing back at him. I guess it's a lot harder for most other players to flip for 1M than it is for him.

Yeah I'm definitely going to miss this line-up. The next one coming up looks like what's normally a pretty good one, but will pale to this previous table. I think it's pretty funny how in the 3 big pots Durrrrr and Barry were involved in together the guy holding AA each time failed to take it down. Still impressive Barry walked away a 200k+ winner even after that last big pot.

I think Durrr was pissed that Barry didn't run it twice in the first hand J9 vs AA and refused this time too, So he basically said FUUUUUUUUUU BARRY when Barry asked to take monies out the pot.

Me thinks... It would be spectacular if GSN would hold a poll with numerous nominees for next seasons HSP. Then individuals could vote and pick the cast of the next season. Would be pretty badass imo.

Has anyone else noticed that Gabe Kaplan talks excessively with his hands? Like I just realized it in the last couple of episodes, but its getting to the point of stupidity lol.

Durrr's a fuggin luckbox. People think he's being facetious when he says he just runs good, but he is not. That is the secret to his success. It's alot easier to runs bluffs when you hit every other fuggin hand. Mathematically we all make our share of big hands. But luckboxes' opponents have slightly worse big hands that pay them off. Professional push n' catch poker player. Hope I learn to run good. |

How was he a luckbox through that series? He played well, made money when he had hands, and was able to get away when he didn't. Did I miss a hand that stands out?

The new lineup sucks so far. The forced "witty" dialogue isn't necessary. Laak and the Magician I can do without. But I will still watch. Junkie. |

Now that I'm watching this weeks episode, I think that's a real possibility. Even Gabe got a little aggravated with all the prop bet nonsense. I think they got Durrr in on an emergency call to save the season.

Yeah.. A lot of bitch moves on the last two episodes. The whining about the pushups, the card peak by hachem, and Antonio's 1 million % sure fail. Good thing durrr is back. Class has been restored to HSP.

Durrrr is kinda reaching Ivey status in the way everyone reacted him coming into the game. You could tell no one was happy about it and someone even commented on trading Simon for Dwan. Then he starts off with that small lead into a 4 players and barrels the turn (note he didn't turn over a card) then the 5bet pot with Lederer, who, frankly got owned even tho 99.5% of the viewing audience will think Durrrr got really lucky.
|
04-23-2009 01:52 AM

I likely fall into the 0.5% because Lederer seems like the weak/tight nit at the table for the few hands I've seen him play (folding 88, limp/raising AA, overlimping AKs). I'm sure durrr doesn't have him pegged as the loose type. Not sure why durrr figured a 5bet bluff was going to be profitable against him there, at least without blockers.
|

Well... I obv don't think Durrr just got lucky, but wondering why he thought the 5b was profitable against Lederer (note: I have no clue what the stack sizes were).

I think he did it in an earlier season with AQ or AJ... so it might not be completely unbalanced... but yeah... after he checks down JJ, I'm not sure that bet was his best option.

Also I've been really impressed by Hachems play, he's in there mixing it up. Its obvious a few of them are trying to push him around as a tourney donk but he's winning that battle pretty easily so far. Of course his card peak sucked, but as for actual poker he's been impressive so far.
