Default I admit it, I'm addicted...

    ...to FTR!!!

I can't stop surfing this site. Every time I think I've read everything, another pesky orange icon pops up and tells me there's a new message in some board that I don't even care about, like Tournament Tactics and Histories. I am COMPELLED to read it so that I can get a clean sheet of grey icons. I have done zero work all week because of this, and I haven't even played a single hand of real poker since last Friday. How pathetic is that?

    Damn, Chez!
I can't say that I read every post. I like to read at work, and play at night. The first question to ask yourself, according to FTR's Anonymous: "Is reading FTR getting in the way of feeding your addiction to poker? If so, you may have a problem with your addiction to FTR."

Right now im just replying as much as possible so that maybe one of the high ups will notice me and let me read Soupie's MTT strategy guide. Maybe buying some merchandise would push them in the right direction...

    Battling the orange icons! hahahah!!

And then, after you've defeated the orange icons for a brief moment, you have to keep checking the "Who is Online" page to see if anyone is posting so you can stay on top of the new post.

I always browsed the By Post Time option. I never noticed all the orange icons. They will have to go.

    Here's a tip.

The most convenient way to browse posts is with these 3 options near the top-right of the main forum index:

    View posts since last visit
    View your posts

Do you think 'rilla suffers from this affliction? He may be the authority on this topic.

I read FTR during work also, Work really gets in the way of lurking in the forums. I think spending 2 to 3 hours a day in hear may be a little too much Maybe if I spent more time Playing at the tables I might get better --- probably not

God am I glad to hear you all saying this. I thought it was just me battling orange icons. Everytime I check there's another one waiting to be clicked on. Even if it's a thread I've already read and had little interest in, if there's an orange icon there, I'm revisiting the thread. It gets very frustrating to do this, only to see that the new post is just rilla or some other post whore adding a "right on" or something like that. It's nearly impossible to keep up!

I almost exclusively read FTR at work. Somehow I manage to spend a couple of hours a day here and get my work done and not get caught! I have no idea what I'll do if my job ever installs monitoring software. I'm not sure I'd be able to kick my FTR addiction even to save my job!!!

My name is dar103 and I am a FTR junkie.
When your wife says, "Now if I were as lesbian...", while looking at Jennifer Garner, wouldn't she be your favorite actress too?
