    Your place or my place
Pull the routers powerchord, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in. Check for signal. No signal? Pull out wireless adapter from laptop. Wait 30 seconds. Plug back in. Check for signal.

    No signal?

Grab an ethernet cable, connect router to laptop/desktop. See if you can surf.

No signal? See if your pc can see the router while hardlined - start>run>cmd. type " ipconfig /all ". Should give you the IP addy of the router.

    Still nothing?

Borrow someone elses laptop, try and connect wirelessly and through the hardline. If neither work, atleast you now know its definitely the router and not your laptop.

Take your Ethernet cable and connect one end to the Ethernet port on your modem and the other end to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox 360.

Turn on your modem, then your Xbox 360, with no disc in the disc tray.
From the Xbox Dashboard choose Xbox Live. Or, play a game on your Xbox Live Starter Kit disc and choose the option for Xbox Live play.

Have you got your x-box sitting right next to the router?
Try moving it a little away if so

I had the same problem with my nintendo. Try restarting your router to factory settings.

Hit the reset button on your router with a paper clip, then wait a while. If that doesn't work, unplug the router and let it sit with no power for about 15 mins then try again. My router sucks too.

I beleive thats the same as going back to factory settings. At least it is on my netgear router.
