In the time period from 1750 to 2001 the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased with 31 %. Thus, today´s level is the highest in the last 420,000 years, and probably in the last 20,000,000 years.

I believe the human population has increased exponetially since then too.

No, there are more humans and more industry than in 1775. If you want to reduce the CO2 then send everyone back to the stone age, I'll personally stay here.
