I know that in victorian era there was a shrunken pygmy heads were in high demand and a lot of them are still on display in various museums, but no mention of entire bodies. The latest instance of human taxidermy I could dig up was the body of giant Eduard Beaupre which was on display until 1990 when it was buried.
If I ever do become a deranged existentialist conceptional artist I would dig that up, put four rotors in him and fly him over fith avenue. There isn't much you can do to shock people nowadays, but I recon that would freak everyone the fuck out.
