Why not. The US gov't has been dick waving around the rest of the goddamn world. Why not bomb another country with brown people in it?

Wars make lots of money for the private companies that make the weapons and clean up afterwards. Might as well cross the Iraqi border while they're there and make a few more $$ for the good ole boys back home.

Are you part of the gov't that decides on who to bomb and dick wave at? Didn't think so. Therefore, don't be offended by what I said. My statements are aimed at the US gov't, not the US people.

Yes, it's profitable to companies like boeing, lockheed martin, etc., but on a whole, wars are a financial drain and burden on the economy.

    I would have thought so.

The government + media are using the same lines as with iraq (and to some extent afghanistan) prewar. They made it clear they had an interest in iran along time ago and have been working the media about it since around the time the iraq war finished.

The only difference with this one is that this time im not convinced Blair will be able to take the UK into iran, and without the UK im not convinced a war would have nearly as much support from the US population. One of the big reasons the US population supported attacking iraq was because they had allies going in with them. Of the US allies who supported attacking Iraq, only a few remain.

Aznar was voted out of Spain very quickly once the war started. His successor pulled spainish troops out of iraq.
Although Berlusconi hasnt yet accepted defeat in Italy, it is looking increasingly likely that he is going to have to stand down. His successor, Romano Prodi has said he will immediatly withdraw Italien troops from Iraq. Perhaps this suggests that these countries will now be less eager to support another war so soon.
And in my own country I believe it will be very difficult for Blair to go to war alongside the US in Iraq again. He has lost almost all credibility in this country and pretty much just regarded as Bush's lapdog. I think he would face a major rebelion in pariament from his own party if he tried to push through another war, and he would also face HUGE demonstrations on the streets. Because of this I think there is a strong chance he will be unable to support the US and without its allies, I dont know if Bush will be able to convince the american people to go to war again when the last 2 countries they have "intervened" in are still in such a total mess.

I don't think this country has the manpower or the will to fight a war in Iran anytime soon.

I don't think it's going to be a war, per se..."surgical" strike(s) on Iran's nuclear production facilities are more likely (just before elections?), just to ramp up the instability in the Middle East a tad.

The US gov't is given its power by the people. If they're doing something wrong, it's out fault.

So, I take offense to your comments.

But yah, I hope we can get to war quickly. I'm getting kinda bored with the war in Iraq and we need to spice things up. Iran is the only obvious choice. Becuase, let's face it, they have brown people over there.

Bombing brown people is a George Carlin reference. It's not racist. It's just crude and insensitive. My cup of tea.

Especially if your country is full of brown people. Oh, we like that, don't we? That's our hobby now. But it's also our new job in the world: bombing brown people. Iraq, Panama, Grenada, Libya. You got some brown people in your country? Tell 'em to watch the fuck out, or we'll goddamn bomb them!

Well, who were the last white people you can remember that we bombed? In fact, can you remember any white people we ever bombed? The Germans! That's it! Those are the only ones. And that was only because they were tryin' to cut in on our action. They wanted to dominate the world.

Bullshit! That's our job. That's our fuckin' job.

But the Germans are ancient history. These days, we only bomb brown people. And not because they're cutting in our action; we do it because they're brown. Even those Serbs we bombed in Yugoslavia aren't really white, are they? Naaah! They're sort of down near the swarthy end of the white spectrum. Just brown enough to bomb. I'm still waiting for the day we bomb the English. People who really deserve it.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

So why is it ok for Brazil to be enriching uranium when the signed the exact same treaty iran did? Yet they are keeping their process hush hush, but are we threatening them?

Hell no, then again a country with big butted beautiful women wouldn't bother me either go figure! Iran needs more beautiful tanned, bubble butt sex machines like Brazil has.

There's the best part of 100,000,000 men of fightin' age in the US. I wonder how many of them Bush would sacrifice for victory.

War won't be declared in Iran from the U.S., but that isn't to say that the UN will actually be more vocal on it. Maybe france can send some troops in?

    Draught = Draft??

If so, that must be done via an act of Congress, which won't happen. Yes, I can foresee situations in the future where it could, but not in the near future.

    Naw, no war with Iran.

Unless they threaten to nuke Israel, then bitches are goin down.
  20. #20
That's a quick 'yes' for me.

The UN Security Council gave Iran an April 30th deadline to stop their enrichment (at least without us inspecting and giving guidelines.)

Iran is convinced they're allowed to do this. Bush is convinced they're going to make a nuke and pass it to al Qaeda, who will detonate it in the US.

At the threat of a military strike from the US, Iran said they were prepared.

Asked if he would use tactical nuclear warheads against Iran to detonate their nuclear facilities, Bush said that everything was on the table.

When you nuke someone, it doesn't cost that much money - until a full-out war was started, money wouldn't be a problem.

Both the US and Iran are not backing down.

    Prepare for war(/nukes).

hell no. The u.s. will start blowing up specific targets in iran trying to stop their progress while the "prepared" iranians throw rocks at the planes as they fly overhead. Meanwhile over the next 10 years the U.N. will issue 45 condemnations and demands for action by iran, threatening U.N. action. Then in ten years iran will nuke isreal, U.N. will issue a condemnation saying it is "very very upset and about to lose its temper", demanding an apology. meanwhile france and russia become the richest countries in the world due to all the smuggled iranian bribe money.

    I leave anything out?
