It's bullshit even though you didn't post in the correct forum? Why? Maybe if people posted in the correct forums in the first place they would actually get noticed and read. And judging by the replies in your thread since it's been moved, people actually DO visit that forum from time to time (especially the admins, who read every post in that particular forum).
Using the "view your posts" on the index page will help you to never lose your posts again.
