If you play poker for a living, I suggest you do the "move around a lot thing" until you find somewhere you like. at 100k a year, all you need is a laptop and a car, the rest is just gravy. Move around until you find someplace you like, has all the amenities you need/want, and is "just the right distance" from relatives. IE you can visit when you miss them, and they can visit when they plan to, but they won't just "pop bye" for the afternoon. I find that 3 hours away from my folks is not far enough, but 14 hours away from my folks was waaay too far. Of course, for my job, I only make 26k a year, sooooo.... flying 4 hours to see my parents would be a much larger radius of distance.
