If I 3 bet you well now I'm in control and I have more information vs your exact style of play than the other two stats. And in my expierence there isn't a single NL100 player that can play a big pots out of position correctly anyways. They either super nit up and fold to any type of bet, or super aggro donk it and pre-plan a play preflop. Someone wanna explain to me how 3 betting ATo in that spot is bad again?
You're right, I think three betting in pos versus nitty 2p2er's is a great idea, I do it a lot, but all Massimo is saying is this is one of the worser hands to balance out your threebetting range with. Pretty much everytime you threebet light you are going to make a bluff at almost all flops. with ATo hits most flops for hands he plays. On the other hand, a hand like 87s is hitting what most of their ranges aren't, and making it harder for overpairs to fold.
Massimo is saying he'd raise with a lot of hands here, just not ATo, and I agree.
why? (bolded part)
you mean we can't check back when somebody calls OOP with an uber tight range, or when we flop a crappy top pair?
