mac vs. pc

i for one have been a pc user my whole life, and am sick and fucking tired of mac users who think they are fucking special because they spent more than > 2x as much money on a mac. its a very similar annoyance i have with people who think they are saving the world by buying organic foods and driving hybrid cars.

it seems like most of the people on ftr use pc's, so im not sure how good of a discussion we can get going, but try anyways!

We hate similar things. Macs are overpriced imo, and everyone has one in college. Apple products do look very clean though.

this is my main problem. mac's are widely accepted as better for graphic design, i think music, and stuff like that. i want to punch people who buy them just for surfing the net and writing papers and think they are special (i.e. almost every college kid who has one).

if you were buying s comp to strictly email and surf why wouldn't it be a mac? faster boot up, easy to use, etc. Sure it's expensive but strictly for use purposes mac is exactly what a lot of people want/need.
