    Default The Masters

I'm surprised I'm the first one to post this.

It starts tomorrow and Tiger Woods will win I guarantee it.

I just loves the masters. What event in any sport is more revered or has more tradition?

masters.org has holes 11-16 on their site (called amen corner live)

doesn't come onto ESPN til now (4pm EST) b/c Augusta doesn't like to give away a lot of TV coverage. Most don't realize that until only a few years ago was the whole front-nine even broadcast. The saying "The Masters doesn't start until the back-nine on Sunday" basically refers to the fact that TV coverage didn't start til then until recently.

Chad Campbell and Tiger Woods are gonna be hating 17 and 18.
  18. #18
    course is playing easy
    greens are rolling perfectly
    no wind
    temperatures in the 70
    buncha scores in the 60's

Tiger will be leading by 5 going into the 4th round if he keeps hitting it the way he did today. He shot 70 and threw 4-5 shots away (pars on 2 and 8, bogey on 18, etc...). Don't forget the 3 times this dude shot 70 in the first round he won this bad boy....scurry.

    Yeah pretty much.

There isn't gonna be much debate in this thread...

yo Tiger fans (i'm one, btw), i'd be interested in laying 2:1 on the field against him. i take field, you pay me even money. you take Tiger, i pay you double.

anyone that sure he wins? i know round one is in the books, but its still early and i dont see Larry Mize, Norman, et al holding their positions...lol.

and, spenda, "greens rolling perfectly" is like the biggest LDO i've seen you make in a long time.....its the Masters.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

id take the field in this I think

Anthony Kim had 11 birdies today

    wtf
  24. #24
Well unless he shoots like 4-5 under tomorrow I'll be taking the field on Sunday as well. I imagine the course is going to be much tougher this weekend cause it seems like the new brass at Augusta don't like a bunch of low numbers. But even if it plays super hard I don't see tiger winning without being under par Saturday and Sunday.

Ridiculous round by Anthony Kim today.

I think this should be an interesting weekend cause I'd be surprised if both Kenny Perry and Chad Campbell both crumble.
  25. #25
I would love to see Kenny win a major, dude deserves it.
  26. #26
I picked Kenny Perry in that thing that Warpe put together that only he and I did.

OMG Michelson. This is going to be dramatic finish.
  30. #30
Yes! A close finish with birdies on the back nine to be had. What else could you ask for.

Vegas was laying 11:5 when I was there against the field. So it's about a wash.

Good finish to a good tourney. Managed to scrape back my losses. Unless Perry chokes big time going to the last two.
  36. #36
Kenny Perry has a big old round face.

    That is all.

Great toournament, plenty of great shots and drama on the final day. I am especially happy though cos I backed Cabrera after close of play on Friday at 8-1
