Default Maximum stay in Las Vegas?

    Hey,

I promised myself that I would move to LV this year for approx 3-6 months to play 10/20 NL full time live. Why? I get a little bored of playing against faceless people and i love the atmosphere of casinos. I also happen to think my live game is much better at a high stakes live game, however its very hard to find any game over 2/2 PL here. Plus i would just love the experience, and also get to enter a few Tournaments to brush up my game.

I was lucky enough for a contact of mine to put me in touch with Daniel Negreanus personal assistant, who was lovely. We discussed casinos comping full time pro's, which she replied unless you are a "celebrity poker player" there is little chance. The best thing i could do would be to stay at a cheaper hotel and pay poker players rate, which is slighly less then normal accomdation. However she was confident that pretty much everything else would be taken care of; food, entertainment etc. Its a matter of the floor manager spotting me, which she said if you play there several hours a day they will do straight away and take care of you.

Im not sure how glamerous the life would be, but its something i would like to try.

The only answer she couldnt tell me is how long im allowed to stay in the USA/LV. Anybody any ideas? My brother explained to me its 3 months but i was under the influence it was 6? Or maybe im thinking two stays a year of 3 months equal?

    Are you a US citizen?

If you're looking at spending that much time in vegas, look into a rental property. Remember, all of that cheap labor needs to live somewhere and I'm told that just off the strip there is lots of nice, affordable housing.

I'm not US citizen and I rent, and I didn't have to show them my student visa when renting, I'm not sure what's normal though.
