Not to me. I fucking hated Gansta Rap and all the fake ass posers that came after NWA hit it big. The rap game was flooded with Compton knock offs and the like. The Public was pretty much force fed West Coast rap for the better portion of the late 80's to mid 90's. For whatever reason the West was the supposed home of "Hardcore" rappers while the East Coast was perceived as more "Cerebral" or "Artistic", which translates to soft in my book.

Mobb Deep, Biggie, Wu Tang, etc... let people know things were still just as hardcore over here in the East when they dropped in the mid 90's. So call my statement terrrible or whatever you want. People took notice, and that's when the whole East vs. West thing started to blow up as to which coast was reppin' the hardest. In hind sight it's all horse shit to me now. Any place in the world has it's bad areas.

The best decision I ever made in my life was to stop listening to rap for the most part.
