Maybe this is an old old poker joke, but I just heard it the first time and here goes:

This guy with a good job is sitting at work one day and he hears this voice in his head:

"Quit your job..."

So he does. He quits and goes home and when he gets there the voice says

"Sell your house and take the cash to Vegas..."

So he does. Now he gets off the bus in Vegas with a briefcase full of cash.

And the voice says

"Go to the Horseshoe and sit down at the game in the basement"

He does, and they're playing NLHE with blinds of $10,000 and $20,000. When he sits down and posts, his first hand is a pair of black aces.

And the voice says

"Go all in."

So he puts all his chips in. Everyone folds except one caller, who turns over 7h8h.

The flop comes:

4h 5h 6h

And the voice says

"Fuck!!"

Guy comes home rushing and hurrying. He says to his wife,

"Hey hon, you have to pack all your things. I lost you in a poker game."

She questioned, "How in the world did you lose ME in a poker game?"

"It wasn't easy. I had to fold a royal flush."
