I wasn't going to say anything about the whole rippy situation but since I seem to be pulled into it I might as well throw my 2 cents in.
I have been in the irc channel and seen people who have posted in these threads act so nice to his face and the minute he is gone say some of the worst things to his face. Make comments on his wins and then make a 'joke' about taking bets as to how long before he is broke again.
IMHO that is just tasteless and wrong. So two-faced and ignorant. Then to come to the forums and act holier than thou to everyone else.
I have been critisized and even banned from irc, and not only myself banned but friends of mine banned for nothing more than having the same ident as I have. For what reason you may be wondering. For defending defending someone I consider a friend. Someone who has never been anything but nice to me. Who didn't ask me why I was in the channel; accused me of not playing; said things to me that I know they would never say to their mother and expect me to take it.
You all wonder why rippy might feel the way he does? Before you say anything about his actions you might want to think about things that were said about him and then you might figure out why he feels the way he feels.
Granted you reap what you sow but it works both ways. I thought this was supposed to be a place where we support and help each other not tear each other down and act like spoiled children who aren't getting enough attention from Mommy. Maybe everyone should stop and think 2 minutes before they open their mouths and say anything. Treat someone like you would want to be treated. It might get you further in life than you realize.
