    Default Newbie Here...

Hey guys, I am new here but I have visited these forums before. I think this is a great site. I play online and home games. I just created a poker blog, so check it out (the link in my sig).

    Thanks

Doesn't look like soliciting to me...

    murs - welcome!

    a blog link is fine.

we get hit with a decent amount of spam and veiled solicitation ("hey this is a great site. oh, and by the way, i'm running a special this month on...") that we tend to get wary if anyone posts a link. so, that's why we may seem a little sensitve.

anyway, enjoy the forums, contribute regularly, and for just $199.99, i will send you a sure fire way to beat all online poker games (and make money on ebay at the same time)!

Phat!!!!!!!! I think I am going to enjoy your blog greatly. Just don't go slacking on it and go weeks without posts lol. FTR seems to only post enough for about 2-4 hours of entertainment at work. And considering my WTP(work to play) ratio is about 1 to 8 in most cases I am in need of a couple more hours of entertainment daily.

    "Fishstick's Compendium of Poker Thongs"

One well known pro had this to say about this revolutionary new book:

    Welcome to FTR, Murs.

Here is a list of things to look out for on FTR, just so you are not shocked when you notice these things:

    1. Fishstick's thongs.
    2. Toasty's clowns.
    3. Xianti's complex sentences.
    4. Fnord.
    5. Ripptyde's 74o's.

Enjoy your stay, and be careful! (and/or vigilant in Fishtick's case).

    6. British Vernacular - if dwarfy mentions holibobs, he's not hitting on you, he's just been on vacation.

Vacation? Is that some kind of cereal or is it that American word for holibobs?

Not for me, Xianti. But I do believe that 'holibob' is a word which is far superior to the Americans on this forum!
