Sorry for the metaphor. Let me clarify/offer advice.

If you start doing something that is new to you, but other people have been doing it for a while, then try to pay attention to the flow of things before you go taking offense at some perceived slight.

Otherwise, you run the risk of making a poor first impression.

Also, if your attitude were a bit less... I don't know... salty.., then you'd find that this forum is (like good detergent) kinder and gentler than most other forums.

FWIW, I'm sorry if my flippant reply tilted you. If you're going to talk the talk, I think it's fair to expect a little talk back.
