Dropcolor, I understand that you seem to think that it's a-okay to come onto a poker forum to promote and get yourself votes for your art. Well, let's look at what you're doing, and how you could have done all this better.
First - it seems that your first post on FTR, ever, was the one where you were asking for votes.
Second - you're over-reacting.
Now - the way you COULD have done this better, but chose not to, was by not becoming a member of FTR a few months before, actually become part of the people posting, even if it's just on the Commune, and then ask for help with this kinda' voting system thing.
More than likely, if you had gained some internet frands from here, they'd probably help you out. They might even like your art better. Honestly - your art is cool, it's too many dark colors, but, whatever.
But - now that people are going to subconsciously associate how you just came in - wanting people to go vote "5" on your art work with how much they like or dis-like your art. They're not going to like it. Even if they would have liked it a tad, the way you acted and reacted, will make them not like it at all.
I understand that you feel like you were being personally attacked, and yes, you were, but, you were trying to use people on a forum, just because the art work was related to a poker player.
So - next time you try to get votes on some shit, if you can maybe plan out a month or two before the judgement on the art is to be done, and join a forum [not this one], get friends, talk to people, get along, talk about common interests, then be like, "oh hey, btw, would you mind helping me with this?". You'd get a better reaction.
At least this is my theory. IDK though, I'm just a silly female.
