If the US wasn't so concerned with spending such a large chunk of its GDP on keeping its military trained and armed to the teeth to face imaginary threats like being invaded by Canada, maybe they would have more to spend on mental health and ways to prevent their own people from going on killing sprees on a regular basis.

It costs exactly the same amount of money for that cop to rehearse and active-shooter drill, as it does to pay him to ride a golf cart around campus and jerk off in the bushes.
It's not a money problem. And if it is a money problem....what do you think this cost...
