Sure it does, but it's mild and only alleviates certain kinds of pain. I hurt my back recently, it was borderline unbearable and I couldn't sleep, a spliff wasn't going to touch it. Ibuprofen + tramadol and I slept like a baby, and next day the pain was minimal.

But trams are opiates. I wouldn't want to take them regularly. If I have knee pain, which I sometimes get, well I'll still take ibuprofen because it's anti-inflammatry, it reduces swelling, but spliffs certainly help matters here.
