Luongo sounds an awful lot like he's blaming this on the team without really coming out and saying it. If you're paid as much as him it's because you're expected to make the big saves. He's not even making the decent saves. Just because your team gave up the puck on a bad pass doesn't mean you're going above and beyond by making a save.
Everything that makes him good is his positional game. Chicago takes that element away from him and now he has to react to make saves and it's just looking more and more that he really doesn't have that to his game. The best example is that weird deflection Kesler put in front of the net to Toews. Yeah it was dead centre to the best player on their team, but he didn't even get off a tremendous shot and a goalie of Luongo's supposed caliber should be able to make that save, he wasn't even out of position for it, he just wasn't set for it. Every other team's goalies have been making saves like those consistently and that's the difference.
That being said, the rest of the team is shitting the bed too, but I still think Luongo's play has been far worse.
