I didn't say they chose to be poor. But they choose to remain poor.
If someone works two jobs and remains poor, then ask the question why that is. Perhaps they have a mountain of debt from the past. Perhaps they have children who go to expensive schools. Perhaps they don't actually work that many hours, and the "two jobs" is a badge they wear to sound active, when most people work more in one job. I have no idea, but let me tell you this... if I work full time, at minimum wage, and that is on me, then I will not be poor. I won't be wealthy, but I will be able to afford the essentials in life and more. Unless, that is, I live beyond my means. Then I'll claim to be poor because I never seem to have any money, when actually I just don't understand the difference between want and need.
