    "NEW ORLEANS – A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.

    "I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else.""

    Wow... I rarely if ever have even one pile of black friends in my bathroom.

    Imagine that. A racist for all these years and I never knew it...

    seriously! Just look at the color of their skin. If God loved them, they'd be born white. White and American. I'm kinda tan, but I'm praying really hard to lighten up...

    yah, on a serious note. It's all just dirt off my shoulders as this point. We're the next (currentish) generation and we know better. Just gotta hope our kids one up us in the long succession of humans actually figuring ourselves out.

    I know that I have unconscious racist tendencies, like staying away from black males that I don't know when possible, and locking my car doors when I see a black guy walking on the sidewalk when I'm at a red light.

    Lol my gf gave this large "scary" looking black guy a fearful glare in the hallway today in my music school, and I was like "Honey, that's DeMarco Murray."
