Do not watch Camelot (new show on Starz). It is a notch above Xena: Warrior Princess, and that's being generous...

Rule of thumb: the better a show is, the more likely it gets cancelled

Network TV doesn't exist because they are good at show production, they're actually very awful at it. They exist because they're so deeply entrenched. Innumerable extremely talented artists and shows get destroyed due to network policy and leaders being lawyers and accountants who don't know the first thing about art and entertainment

I torrented both of the season 2 episodes of Louie. I really wish I would catch this on TV to boost the ratings. It really needs to continue being a show.

i dont think you could change the ratings unless you had one of those special cable boxes where they monitors what you watch. wiki nielson ratings or w/e....

as for louie, he is one of my favorite stand up comedians, that said i found the first season (while hilarious) to be almost too dry at times lol. But yea i havent checked out the new couple of eps yet...did you watch wilfred or w/e? my friend says its good but im skeptical of checking it out

if you're referring to the american series, get your mits on the australian one. it may be a little bit too culturally-specific, but i think its infinitely better than what i've seen of the american adaptation. most of the funnier bits in the american one are re-used from the australian series anyway.

I'm currently marathoning the first season of Louie... this is prob a contender for funniest sitcom ever. It's like a combination of Seinfeld and Curb, but a lot darker, and none of the "everything is interconnected" theme that is so prevalent in the Larry David shows.

    *** Sopranos Spoilers ***

Watching this shits again, and I can't believe what those motherfuckers did to Furio. Writers bitched up the coolest character in the whole show then canned him. WTF is this noise
  30. #30
new show Rake on DirectTV/Audience network is really cool.

    also like awkward on MTV

wilfred is confirmed hilarious. last ep wilfred servived the mom from malcom in the middle and had really nasty sex with a stuff girafe. how do you beat that?

finally gave up on true blood this year after ep 3, what a disaster. It is hard to imagine they could have made worse plot choices throwing darts at a board.
  31. #31
louie has been disappointing the last few episodes and i really liked the 1st season. +1 wilfred
  32. #32
yeah I like Louie and even some of the serious eps (the one with the asshole kid in the donut store sticks out) are cool, but it's kinda hard because I'm not sure what mood I should be in when I turn it on. Also I thought the one with him back in catholic school was just a fail on all levels, 0 laughs and a concept that's been done to death.

ya, this is pretty much how I feel. I was really confused when I got hit with the first serious episode, esp since I marathoned saeson 1 + the first few eps of season 2. Like you said the donut shop ep was fucking awesome, but it felt like SUCH a downer being in the same bin as so much hilarity.

a lot has happened in just a few episodes, and they're developing a story very well. i think audiences usually want swift conclusions to storylines, and that's where a lot of slowness comes from. they brought in at least like four new storyline thingies this season, and they have to be allowed their course. but still it hasn't been slow. besides, if it were to be any faster paced like lost, it would have the same problem of lost in that the writers/producers dont give a fuck about the art and story but only that audiences are cattle
  43. #43
Still loving breaking bad although I want them to get wherever we're going with the brother in law really soon.

I think the ads for community really made it look awful, it is not a good 5 second bite show imo. Have only seen season 1 but it is going on the tivo for sure. pumped for season two, netflix has the discs 9/6.

Yeah, with Community, you need to understand the characters or the clips wouldn't be nearly as interesting.

are you guys joking, in the last season of BB there was like a 4 ep stretch of jack shit happening, highlighted by the episode where he spent a fucking hour chasing a fly....give it time, shit will pop off.

    and SPOILERS in white**************

I'm happy with it... but after catching random eps of GoT and Boardwalk Empire, I think I'm just way more into those shows. That's not to take away from the awesomeness that is BB-- I guess I'm just a sucker for period pieces (we can call GoT a period piece right?)
  51. #51
BB doesn't have the pizzazz of a period piece/fantasy, but it's easily one of the best there is.

BE season 2 better have more of the one faced guy. And hopefully Scorsese learned how to not put a film on TV by now. We need more character and story developments and fewer high-production cinematographical scenes
  52. #52
oh yea the one faced guy....opposed to all of those multiple faced ones.....obv i assume you are talking about burn face or w/e who is the sniper ....and yes i agree, that guy is the fucking tits.

Also loving Tommy from Snatch as Al Capone

    Star-ving with David Faustino.
One season of 10 min. episodes in freakishly bad taste.
Apparently Crackle.com bought them. I can't visit cos of local restrictions, but I'm sure it's worth checking out. No TV channel would have let them do that.

    Here's the pilot:
