I think House of Cards is amazing-- but I always pull back from the notion that it's GOAT, simply because it's so good at fist pump "gotcha" moments, which inherently are a cheap thrill. To be honest, Breaking Bad had a lot of this as well. I'm not saying this rules a show out of being a top contender, just that it's worth taking a closer look before putting it up there with the greats.

Maybe I'm just bias or am a snob because I find the "slow burn" novel like style to be more aesthetically pure.

All that being said, Kevin Spacey's portrayal of Francis Underwood gives me a semi.
