...because it was after 10PM PST on a Monday night. Most games above maybe $50 big bet or 2/4 limit pretty much blow at this hour. My ego doesn't require playing a given stake just because I feel like gamb00ling.
...because I'm building up my LAgg style NL game and dropping $400 on a few bad reads would really suck. A game like this is a great chance to play in a little tougher game at lower stakes.

Anyway this just screamed random FTR lurker to me. He picked a reasonable spot to take a shot at me and did it with 74. Too bad he ran into a hand.

Maybe it's just that running into FTR folks at the tables who know who I am and I don't know who they are is getting to me...

My ego doesn't require playing a given stake just because I feel like gamb00ling.
Probably the most important sentence in this thread.

The games are ALWAYS good if you have table selection, and can incorporate that into your game.

I played last night, and the games were just fine.

It's really hard to portend my type of dry humor over plain text.. To imply 'fish' is what many newbies would say when they look at that OMG I LOST WITH AKs BSBS!
