I want, at the bare minimum, to just ban people from my forum.

If you believe you are one of the people that is on my shit-list (and you are) consider yourself on a clean slate as of this post and not a terribly short-leash.

If you think the forum sucks, please tell me why and say "Yah, rilla definitly needs more power to crack skulls."

I think it might also help if the amount of strikes someone has isn't publicly advertised. Right now it brands them as spammers (or "wrong-doers") and that encourages them to continue, it does not deter them. I've seen a similar reaction on other forums too.

Possibly. Whatever the reason, publicly tagging people with their warnings has the opposite effect of what it intends to accomplish. I remember on another forum they implemented a 10-warning system, advertised below your avatar, and they had to get rid of it after a few weeks because it got totally out of hand..

I think this place is fast approaching a state where it was a few months ago. The power was too slow to act then and things got nasty. I like the idea of 'rilla being the one guy in charge because he can act swiftly instead of wasting his time with this whole strike process. And like someone suggested earlier, there can be an appeals process if he should get out of control.

Something has to be done though. To annoy all the other posters so a few guys can run around and post this shit just hurts this place. I really don't see why this is tolerated even though there's no specific rule against it. It's fine if someone's not funny, but when they get right in your face all the time with their "not funny" it's so annoying.
