On a side note, why does anything unnatural always have to be bad? Medicines a doctor would prescribe for you are largely man made, doesn't mean they are bad for you. I could go on here, but have you ever thought that when we evolved we naturally could not do anything BUT sleep after the sun went down? Our body didn't plan on artificial light to someday exsist. There are 0 studies on how the body's natural clock changes after a long period, it's likely that it changes significantly.
Got a link to a blog of someone who says they wake up naturally?
Last sentence, what do you mean? there have been plenty of studies done on people's body clocks. If you lock a human in a room with no clock/sun, they will naturally start a free running sleep pattern of 24.2 hours. why would we adjust to that time, if 24 hours was programmed in, and we had no other programming? other similar animals free run based on anywhere from a 22-26 hour day. this is just some random adjustment that entire species' coincidentally make?
polyphasic sleep has already been shown through experiments by stampi to result in a decrease in functional ability, they are in weird old journals though that I can't find. it being unnatural is not the cause of it being bad, its just a coincidence. and, in many ways, medicine is not unnatural at all.
