360 has the best version of Madden. The 360 and PS3 versions look identical but the 360 version runs at 60 fps and the PS3 version only runs at 30 FPS. This is pretty much the case with every 360/PS3 game that comes out. Pretty much every game that has come out for BOTH systems looks better on the 360 because developers know that the 360 version is the one that's going to sell the most so they spend more time on that version.

There's like 2 quality PS3 exclusive games which are Resistance: Fall of Man and Warhawk. Really the only huge exclusive games coming out for it are Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy. Sony lost all their key exclusives a while ago (Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Virtual Fighter, Grand Theft Auto, etc.). All of these games have gone multi-platform.

With that being said, Wii is awesome and I'm planning on getting one but I've always had a soft spot for Nintendo. But keep in mind that you can only have so much fun with it without a huge group of people playing it.

fwiw I'm not an XBox fanboy that bashes Sony for no reason. I had a PS1 and PS2 and they were two of my favorite systems of all time behind Super Nintendo. Sony really dropped the ball with the PS3.

Also, the 360 has by far the best online service out of the three, that's really not debatable.

WildBob pretty much nailed it. I have a Wii and a 360 and I think that I would want to play "traditional" sports games with a more "traditional" controller. If you get a Wii you'll be using a pointer and nunchuck, one in each hand. Don't get me wrong, it's very cool, but I don't think I'd prefer it any more over a traditional layout with a D-pad and a thumbstick. If you're coming from PS1, that's what you're used to.

As stated above, the 360 has the best library of games and the best online service. Xbox Live will run you $50 for a year, but it's worth it. Get the 360 Premium, Xbox Live, and Madden and you're looking at about $500.

Right now, based on what you like, I think a 360 is in order. Xbox definitely has the most games for good online multi-player.

I have a wii and I love it. I have Zelda, Metroid, Resident Evil 4, and now Mario for amazing single player. There are a few good multi-player games out there (warioware the best by far), but when smash brothers and mario kart comes out (both online), I think the will match the Xbox with great games online.

If you're more into sports games, go for the 360. PS3 has more great games than the above give credit for, but not near as many as 360.

3 words for ps3...god of war. The third one is coming out on this system. However, not for awhile, buy a 360 and get a ps3 later when the price drops.

I think a PS3 can be a good investment because of it doubling as a blu ray player, which is going to eventually win the HD battle.

I can attest to Madden 08 for Wii being really really sick, its way more complicated than any previous Wii game and it just is so much better.
