Rasterbation, a trip report.
From this thread:
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-51385.htm
I chose to use this picture for my rasterbation:

I used the program with 3 mm dots since 1 mm made the file WAAY to big. The pdf out put is completely unintelligible.
I put the file on my memory stick and took it to FedEx Kinkos to have it printed.
I printed it on heavy paper. I could describe it as a halway point between cardboard and printer paper. Unfortunately, the guy told me that the solid black areas would not print so well since the printer just can't suck that much toner out. I asked him to print it on a slow setting but when that wasn't an option, I decided I'll just deal with it later.
Here is a picture of the lines of white dots that are scattered around the outlier pictures.

They're real noticable up close. Though this picture doesn't show it very well.
The rasterbator pdf was 48 pages long, but the last 8 were solid white. So I printed 40 pages for 12 bucks. I could have printed it on lighter paper (still heavier than normal printer paper) for 4 bucks, but I'm too balla for that shit.
I went over to michaels and bought two rolls of Scotch Poster tap for like 4 bucks each.
I start to just use a black permenant marker over the lines of white dots, but when it was clear that was going to be tedious and I ran the risk of ruining some of the pages, I decided to put up the print and see if it was even a problem at all. It was also suggested to me to use black matte paint since permenant marker left shiney black lines on the print.
Actually putting up the whole thing took about an hour. I used pieces of tape in the corners of each piece and used about 1 and a half rolls of tape. The whole process was pretty easy and exciting since It was looking real cool.
The final product:

Under the right light and at a moderate distance, you can see the white lines but they don't take away from the picture at all and it would be far to tedious to run through and touch them up again.
If you're going to do it yourself, I suggest using a picture with less black in it. And also a more crisp picture than the one I used.
I'm very pleased with the entire project and would definitely do it again.
