i don't mind my bet sizing. It was incredibly obvious he had an overpair plus fd, so he had zero implied odds.

Yeah, but he would have paid more to draw and there's no way you can count on him stacking off on the river with JJ there.

Hawt. I'm a little disappointed you made less than $1/hand, but I guess you did make $800/hr (without rakeback) which isn't that bad.

It'd be awesome if you could do this whenever you felt like it.

He means 2k hands, not $2,000.

He was also playing LHE, which while it goes faster than NL tables, requires you to play more hands.
<Staxalax> Honestly, #flopturnriver is the one thing that has improved my game the most.

I suspect NLHE gets in more hands/hour. The game I played tended to have multi-way pots and there are more decisions per hand. The NLHE can blow through hands because so many go by with not much action even at very good tables.

If you're going to try to play for goals, just shoot for X number of hands per day and week with some flexibility to quit, drop down or whatever you have to do to avoid time playing your B game (or worse) in not-so-good seats/tables.

TNX for this. So aiming for a dollar goal is bad, but aiming for a hand goal is the way to go? I see.

It makes perfect sense now. Just focus on the bird in your hand, and not on those circling overhead.

Just think Renton, if you had a day like that every day you'd be earning over 3M a year... Of course, you'd be dead long before you'd done your year, but the point stands. Grats!

The cool thing is about a year and a half ago Renton could only afford to buy in at the 10NL tables. Now he just made 10k in 24 hours. That's like 500 bankrolls for his initial limit.
