Everyone has been through the exact same thing with any significant long term real relationship. If you honestly don't think this is the best chick for you though you gotta let her go. You can't idealize what she really is to you based off memories of only good times.

This is a genuine question for all of FTR: Have any of you seen examples of a male trying to change a female and succeeding? A friend of mine spent 9 months obsessing, trying to fix this stunning chick's insane head, thinking that if he could succeed, the relationship would be perfect, only to find out she was fucking her co-worker. luckily for me, i went off to college so it just seemed prudent to break up, and then i was meeting a ton of new people, etc, the transition out of the relationship wasn't bad at all. now i have an awesome girlfriend who has only a normal amount of girl crazy in her, and when i hear stories about the ex (i have a good friend who has a random friend-of-a-friend type connection with her still), i can just laugh and move on with life, instead of it being my problem.

Ok, the thing I have learned, in my sad little 40 years of existence... Treat the 8,9,10's like they are 4&5, the reason being... think about it a little different. Everyone knows the chick who is a 10 is hot. They all treat her that way, and she loves it. BUT... the guy who treats her like she is nothing special, is the guy she is attracted to.
