Do you recommend the straps, or the clips for the bindings? The rental stuff had those clips, and I really liked that, however I see on tv and in videos that pros always seem to have the straps. Are they better for some reason? does it change the feeling?
I have the step in bindings and I've been told that they don't make them anymore. Everyone seems to be buying the straps now. The boarders with straps take longer than me to get going after exiting the lift but I'm sure there is a good reason why everyone uses them now.

Also, what do you think of spyder? I bought a spyder coat and snow pants.. they seem to be decent but I havn't really tested them out in the cold. I'm more concerned about quality/durability then getting the cool snowboarding brands.
Other then that.. I'm ready to go. Got some underarmour, oakley wisdom goggles, nice gloves, etc.
BMBW opens 3:30 pm est tomorrow (friday).. so once I get up I'll probably eat and head up there. :D
Along with K2 and Solomon, Rossignol has been around in the skiing community for a long time. I was a skiier before I started boarding and I'm pretty sure that one of my early pairs of skiis was Rossignol.
As for spyder, I think that is the same company that makes cool t shirts and hats that are sold at the Hermosa Beach Pier. I don't know how their stuff holds up in the cold but it is definitely stylish.
