True, but generally the kind of guys susceptible to gold diggers are shallow, and no uggos or fatties allowed. The idea that women are better off because they can gold dig is more and more true at the hottest end of the spectrum, and less and less as we descend into uggo territory.
Objective beauty standards do exist to some extent. Luckily for the sub-5s, it's possible to fall in love with less attractive people. Pretty sure the brain tricks you into thinking people are hotter after enough time if you really like other things about them.

I think there is an analogy for men, it's just more complicated than physical attractiveness because women's standards are more multi-faceted than our simpleton male standards.
Being attractive benefits both genders quite a bit, I'm not sure the many unattractive women have it easier than the unattractive man.
Besides, rich housewives MUST have it tough. Why else would they need wine & benzos to get through the day?
