    So, spotify is now available in the US, but, like everything else these days, is invite only.

    From what I've read it's more like grooveshark than pandora, in that you choose what you want to listen to. But it can't possibly have a worse interface than grooveshark does.

    iTunes-like interface and you basically choose music you want to hear (unlike Pandora that plays whatever it feels like playing) like on iTunes.

    If you pay for the premium service, you can use the mobile app and also "store" music on your phone for offline play. It's not yours to keep, however. It's more like you're renting the music.

    So I'm at work and I got my hands on an invite. Luckily I'm one of the few around here w/ admin rights, so I installed the app (wtf, why no web interface?) and found that I'm blocked by the corporate firewall. GRRRR!!!!!

    That's when I was going to be using this the most!

    Anyhow, when I get home today I'll see if I can send out invites for anyone still looking. PM me your email address if interested.

    Hawk, sorry for my slackness on this. I can't get to FTR from work anymore which means I don't check FTR anything like as often as I used to.

    Still up for helping anyone if I can. PM inbox now empty.

    Spotify is the shit and I'm glad they're expanding - it means the company *should* be reasonably stable.
