yah that seems to be the case... wrongful arrest doesnt hold much weight as a lawsuit. I mean it kinda makes sense, if every person that beat a trial could sue for big $$$ the system would be busto. But its really fucked up when people get convicted then 20 years later dna evidence surfaces proving their innocence. What do they get? Nothing.
This isn't always true. Someone recently was in jail for 8 years wrongfully and settled for like $1 million dollars or something.
