Yeah, I was very sad to hear this. I like the MSNBC, and it definitely won't be as good without Russert. He seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. | |

cliff notes: he hosted meet the press for 17 years, was considered the best prepared in the business, was considered a very tough interviewer, had great family, was an incredibly charitable fellow, and overall, very respected amongst journalists. | |

His dad, "Big Russ", watched Tim every week from his Barcalounger and talked to him afterwards to tell him how he thought it went. Gotta be tough to outlive your son. RIP. | |

I have not seen much from Tim Russert but he seemed a genuine journalist which to me is high praise. | |
